Jagged teeth
sifted from the sand
and found in a gift shop;
Prehistoric token of his vacation.
He likes the feel of it,
rough and warm against his skin.
Scarlet dreams.
Barbed visions of wiggling flesh
and perfume of blood.
He wakes smiling,
and hungry.
That night at dinner
his toothy grin made them uneasy
as he shoved away the salad
and attacked the sushi instead.
